That is why Ace5 Studios’ Aleksey Voznesenski is working to change that. ![]() There are many character rigs available for other DCC’s like Maya and Blender, but fewer, it seems, for Cinema 4D. It would be nice to see someone from the Maxon team to join the conversation on this topic.Ace5 Studios’ new character rig offers smooth deformations and poses along with a complete face rig. I have been fighting this monster for several days now and I cant seem to make it work. You could look at It seems like he has the most experience using both Cinema and Unreal.Ĭurrently I am working on a robot arm that is build using expresso. It also gives you huge file sizes which are not always easy to handle. You could look into Alembic but i never got it to work properly. This needs to be done in the right order to get things to work. But when it comes down to a nested hierarchy with modifiers, instances and references, you need to bake some parts, then flatten a part of your hierarchy and then flatten again, etc. The more complex Animations need to be exported using FBX, because it is easier to control them in Unreal that way. I need to get some more complex rigged animations into Unreal but it seems to be unnecesary hard to get this done.īasic animations can be exported using Cineware or FBX. Hi, I am struggling with the same sort of problems. Really would appreciate any feedback on this I'm new to Cinema 4D and I'm pretty decent with unreal engine. I've tried a bunch of ways to try and bake all of the movements but no dice.Īlso, I've tried importing an alembic file but still no dice. and when I import as an FBX I get animation data but the meshes are not attached to the animation. My problem is when import the Cineware project into Unreal Engine I don't get any animation data. I have it driving over a plane with a noise filter over it so its bumpy and it again looks great. the car turns and has body roll and very nice-looking suspension, and the tires move. I've rigged the car model I bought on CGTrader with the character tag in cinema 4d and changed the preset to car rig and lined everything up. id like this movement to be moved into my unreal engine sequence so I can render it out. My goal for the shot is to have a car drive over some rocks and have the suspension and tires follow it as realistically as possible. Hey guys I got a pretty interesting problem here. ![]()
